Buy the Book! Featured

Written by Kenny Gimpert

Dear friends,

I'm sure you've heard me over and over stress to you how important your blog is to your site. Well here I go again, enjoy.

Content is King. If you are selling a particular brand of product, make your site the ultimate resource about that product. Suppose you sell antique books on personal biographies. Make your site an immense resource on this particular topic. Take out interesting pages of your book, scan them and post them on your site, with a “Buy the Book” option, of course. Get someone to write an interesting, pictorial biography of the person whose bio you are selling, and include videos and audios. Then add a “Buy the Book” option.

Arrange for a quiz contest on that person, and offer something as a 1st Prize, maybe even a visit to wherever the person comes from. Again, add your “Buy the Book” option. Add a blog about latest events concerning that person, or the broad subject area of your business. Let visitors post comments; they will come back to check if someone has replied to their comments. Add a forum where visitors can discuss your books, or their broader subject areas. Then add your “Buy the Book” option somewhere prominent.

Do you see what I am driving at? Sell your business almost as an afterthought, by way of offering substantial information on your niche area. This is stealth marketing, and people like that approach. If people like your content, and don’t feel an overwhelming marketing effort around your website, they will buy the book that you offer. They will simply think it is a recommendation from you; someone they have come to know is knowledgeable about that subject area.

Finally I have had many people come to me and ask, how do I communicate on social media? The answer lies right in front of your face. Social media. Whether you are the CEO or the highly respected Internet marketer =), people want to get to know you! Social Media is not a place where you advertise, thats for SEA.

Wrong Twitter: 15% off today only, visit www.yoursite.com

Right: I've received some great feedback from you guys and have decided to have a special one day event, www.yoursite.com/landingpage, by the way congratulations to our weekly drawing winner - John Smith!

Twitter and facebook are places for people to be social within the company you work for. Once people get to know you, which is the whole point of this sphere, they will become interested in your company. The great news is, this is a brand new marketing concept, so your not alone if your confused and I'm always here to help.

Thanks,

Kenny

20 Pages v. 200 Pages

Written by Kenny Gimpert
I wanted to start with just a few more things about how important blogging can be. The first and most important part of getting found on the Internet is creating remarkable content. This includes blog articles, web pages, videos, photos, webinars, whitepapers and tools that are useful, interesting, thought-provoking, controversial, and entertaining. I realize this is no small feat, but it is the most critical step if you're serious about generating more traffic and leads. Please determine a content schedule, and then stick to it.

Consider a 20 page website. This site has 20 separate pages that could rank in Google and other places. 20 unique chances to draw traffic. Now compare that to a 200 page website. The 200 page website has 10x more chances to draw traffic, and on average will be drawing 10x the amount of traffic.
